Revealed: ‘Secret Millionaire’ Kevin Green’s new TV programme

Details of ‘Secret Millionaire’ Kevin Green’s new Channel 5 programme have been revealed today.

“It’s all been very hush-hush and I couldn’t even tell my closest friends what it is all about,” Green said today.

“But Channel 5 took the wraps off the pre-publicity campaign today and I can now reveal the show is going to be called ‘Secret Interview’.

“Filming was carried out earlier this year we have been busy shooting at different locations in West Wales and beyond.”

Green has plenty of TV experience, having been featured on Channel Four’s Secret Millionaire and Sky’s The Devil’s Dinner Party.

He added: “The Secret Interview will be unlike anything I have done previously.”

The show will put eight unknowing people through an interview process they will never forget.

The unwitting candidates believe they are filming a documentary about their workplace. In fact they are about to have an interview for the job of a lifetime without even knowing it’s happening.

Each of them will be tested to their limits by a team of undercover actors intent on causing utter chaos.

Meanwhile, their prospective new boss, a giant of their industry, watches everything.

Conducting the Secret Interviews will be Kevin Green, Michelin starred chef Jason Atherton, the editor of women’s magazine Glamour Jo Elvin and hair stylist to the stars Nicky Clarke.

For the candidates, it’s going to be the working week of their lives and every move they make could take them a step closer to a job with the Secret Interviewers that could transform their world.

In the first episode, two aspiring chefs go in for the ultimate cook off with a new recipe; one fake food critic, a sprinkle of nightmare food orders and a rubbish waitress to garnish.

In episode two, a pair of hopeful estate agents come up against bogus buyers and tenants from hell whilst having to remain calm and collected.

In episode three, a duo of helpless hairdressers try to impress with flying colours and not dull lowlights. But will a late bluffing bride and bogus bridesmaids push them over the edge?

In the fourth episode, a pair of fashionists have to organise an impromptu promo party with 60 minutes to “make it happen” and work experience girls who hinder, not help.

Co-produced by Twofour and GroupM Entertainment, Secret Interview will air on Channel 5 later this month.

Ian Dunkley, Channel 5 Commissioning Editor for Factual Entertainment said: “No one likes being interviewed but this show takes it to a new level. Our candidates don’t even know it’s happening and that they are being judged by some of the biggest names in their field of work.”

Andrew Mackenzie, Twofour Creative Director says: “This is one of the formats we’re most excited by. It feels entertaining and timely, rewarding good people with a step up the ladder without them even knowing they’re being cunningly tested.”

Richard Foster, MD GroupM Entertainment said: “From the moment we first saw this as a paper format we were intrigued by what the show could be, and what Twofour have brought to life is an absolutely captivating series.”
